William Spreckelmeyer

William O. Spreckelmeyer, 86, of Decatur, IL passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 22, 2010) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 24, 2010) at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.

Mr. Spreckelmeyer was born on June 13, 1924 in Macon County, IL, the son of Oscar and Alma Spreckelmeyer. He worked for Macon County Sand and Gravel and was also a farmer. He was a member of Garver Brick Church. He married Mary Kathleen Beck on June 24, 1944. They had one son, Roy Cale.

He is survived by his sisters-in-law: Velva Henderson of Herrick, IL and Ruth Turner and husband William of Shelbyville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son.
